Yesterday I found a toenail in my hair. It's normal. At our house the dog is always running crazy with something she shouldn't have in her mouth. Grace cleans out every drawer and cupboard she can find, and I follow behind her replacing everything, all day, every day. Sometimes dinner is at 5:00 and sometimes it's at 10:00, and sometimes it doesn't ever happen. We never have clothes on. We never have enough milk. The dog drinks out of the toilet, and lately, so does Grace. We are always yelling. The dog is always barking. I'm always cleaning, but it's always a mess. Grace's toys are all broken, because Sadie tries to eat them. I can never find a bobby pin, or my phone. It's chaos, and I love it.
So on Tuesday I went to the studio where I was planning on doing my yoga training to pay and sign up. I had never been there before, and when I drove up I didn't even see it. I had to turn around and come back and look again, and then pull in the driveway, and walk up the sidewalk and look again. Finally I noticed it, between a smoke shop and a tattoo parlor. I think the bums out front were blocking the little sign in the window. I looked around for a while, and finally found the door in an alley between buildings. The door was locked, so I just stood out there wondering if I should run or fight when the bums tried to mug me. Finally the owner came to the door, and asked if I was Megan. I said yeah, and she said, "Do you want me to take the baby?" I was holding Grace, and I instantly thought she was going to kidnap her. I realized she meant because I had to take my shoes off to come in. So after I did that I went inside, and looked around. The whole place was just one big room with no mirrors, no pictures, no paint, and black paper over the windows. All I could think about was how I was going to smell like incense for the rest of the day. This place was either so deep in yoga, or a total scam, so I told the lady that I wasn't sure if this was what I was looking for, and I left. I was so sad. I came home and looked online at a bunch of different yoga schools, and couldn't find anything that would work with my schedule. That night I went to my regular yoga class, and afterwards I was talking to the instructor who is also the owner of the studio. I was asking if she could recommend any good schools in the area, and guess which one was at the top of her list. Integrated School of Yoga. The place I had just come from. She said that she hires alot of teachers that graduate from there, and that she actually trained the teacher. So I went back yesterday, had a way good talk with the owner, signed up, and paid $1100. So I start in 2 weeks. You guys, this is the real deal. None of this It's Yoga Utah crap. This isn't Yoga Alliance certification, it's international certification, which means I can teach outside the country. They teach 7 different types of yoga, and instead of a 4 week program, it's a 6 month program. I'm super excited. Now on to why I'm really here...
Check out that booty in those jeans. Love. And also, this is Grace's first time watching TV. I think she likes it.
All she can think of is getting that headband off.
The tantrum after the headband fight.

Valentines magic
Somebody called me this morning and asked me to substitute for their primary class tomorrow. Is this a punishment for saying some swear words yesterday?
So the other day Jeff told me that he was getting me something "risky" for Valentines Day. I was pleasantly surprised, because we don't usually celebrate Valentines Day. We think it's kind of lame, and if anything, I just give Jeff us gifts that I've been wanting for a while. Then yesterday when we were at Costco Jeff asked me if I wanted him to tell me what he was getting me, I was like, yeah tell me. That's how we do gifts in this family. And then he told me that he's getting me a Kindle Fire! I don't really know what that is, besides you can read books on it or something, but I'm super excited. I think he said that it has the internet. What? What the heck? Since when can you just have internet on everything?
We got a new T.V. when we moved to Grantsville, and since Jeff started his new job at Harmon he's been getting new theater equipment. His latest purchase was a blue ray player that also has internet or something. I don't understand. All I know is we watched like five movies last night, and we never even had to go to redbox. I felt guilty. Like I had been doing something really bad all night. I haven't had TV for so long that watching it now is weird to me. I kept getting up every few minutes to wash a bowl or put something away. Like how many productive things could I have done in the time it took us to finish a movie? And also, I can't sit still for very long. Plus, do you know how much porn I saw while I was browsing through movies? It's sad. Is this what everyone has in their homes all the time? Instant private access to nudies? I don't like it. I don't like TV and I don't like internet. I want to go back to the time when everyone lived in huts and scavenged for wild berries. Like Oregon Trail. But on beginner level.
Anyway, this is me in a few days.

For reals this time
So this past couple months have been a little bit crazy. I'll try to catch you up. I think the last post was around Halloween-time. Some time before Christmas Jeff received an offer to take a little break from accounting, and sell solar panels in New Jersey. We would have to move just after Christmas, and wouldn't be able to take much with us. We decided to take it, and posted our house and all of our furniture on KSL. The house rented out quickly, and we found buyers for all of our living room furniture. We decided we would keep everything else in the basement for when we moved back. Because our new renters wanted to move in the beginning of December, we packed up everything and went to stay at my mom's for a few weeks. Jeff had finished his contract at Tai Pan Trading, so he was receiving unemployment, and was required to apply for 4 jobs a week. He got a call from one of the jobs he applied for, and went in for an interview. Knowing that we were moving to New Jersey in a month, he didn't try to make a very good impression. Somehow they still loved him, and wanted to offer him the job. He declined, and we kept getting ready for New Jersey. There were so many plans to make since Grace couldn't drive and Sadie couldn't fly. We were trying to figure out how to get everybody there, with as much stuff as possible, without spending a ton of money. Sometime in there Jeff went on a trip to NJ for a week trial knocking doors. We all missed each other so much. It was an awful week. He did get one sale though, and that was pretty good for his first time doing door to door sales. When he got back we kept figuring out plans, it all started feeling so chaotic, and I didn't have a very good feeling about it anymore. We talked about staying in Utah, and that started becoming more of an option. In the meantime, Jeff received an email from the lady who interviewed him for that job telling him how dissappointed she was that he was taking another offer. We talked and prayed alot about our different options, and Jeff decided to give that lady a call. She said that the job was still available, and wanted him to come in and meet with a few more people. They offered him the job again, and he took it. They even offered him the high end of his salary request, so that was really nice. We celebrated Christmas at my Mom's, and started looking around Sandy for a house to rent. We found one that we loved, and moved in about 2 weeks ago. Jeff has been at his new job for almost a month now. He is really liking it. I am finally enrolling in yoga teacher training. My classes will start in March, and I'm super excited. It has been put off for years now, and I'm happy to finally just get it done. That means no more babies for at least 6 more months. Which is fine. Grace and Sadie keep me busy enough. I know, I include my dog as if she's another child. But she is. Grace is standing up all by herself now, and will probably be walking any day. She's just a little over 10 months, so I need to start planning her birthday party. I can't believe she's almost a year already. I always hear that time flies, and it totally does. She still only says mama, which is fine with me. She has all her front teeth now, and they're crazy! Like we better start saving for braces now. We love her so much! I got a chance to go to the temple with my mom this week, and the whole time I just kept thinking about how much I love my family. But I won't talk about that, because then I'll be one of those people I hate. So anyway, that pretty much catches us up to now. I'll try to blog more often from now on.

An Update. Not!
It's been so long since I've written a blog I don't know if I remember how. Like usually I think of some good jokes beforehand, and I haven't done that. I was hoping to give you a full update on the past few months in picture form, but we left our camera at the in-laws, and knowing my Mother in law it's probably been sold on KSL in order to buy some cuisinart knives or something. My Mother in-law is awesome, and so so funny. Have you met her? You should. I found some old stories she wrote in our file box, and she's an amazing writer! She even wrote a book. I love her. But seriously, I hope she didn't sell our camera. Oh my gosh. Is Grace really awake from her nap already? I put her down like 30 minutes ago. I cannot handle carrying her around with me any more while she claws my face and pulls my boob out of my shirt. This is exactly why blogs don't get written. Yesterday I stepped in dog poo. Also, it's 3:30, and I still haven't gotten dressed. Can I please have some sympathy?

Halloween/Sadie's Birthday
I think my phone just got shut off. Did I forget to pay my bill? I feel like I'm 19 again. So Monday was Halloween. Duh. We were planning on take Grace down to Jeff's parents to trick or treat with some cousins, but they weren't able to come, so we decided to stay home. I made a super awesome dinner, (that has nothing to do with Halloween), we got a bunch of candy to hand out to trick or treater's, and watched a movie. We only got two trick or treater's, so I took one for the team and ate all our candy myself. Me and Jeff didn't dress up, because we couldn't think of anything good enough to be. Maybe next year. We dressed up Grace and Sadie though. Grace was Fairy Stinkerbell and Sadie was a baseball player. She looked like a boy, but who cares.
Halloween was also Sadie's birthday, so we sang to her and gave her presents. I know, I hate myself for being one of those people. Don't talk to me about it.
She loved her presents so much she wanted them all in her mouth at once. Grace got a little jealous, but she handled it okay.
Now I'm ready to decorate for Christmas. I already have my Tuscan Christmas candle melter going.

Grantsville and stuff
Today I was reading a blog, and out of the corner of my eye I saw one of the blogs they follow, and the last thing they posted was titled "Things I love about myself." At first I thought they were so awesome, and then I was a little pissed that I didn't think of that first, and then I realized that it didn't say "Things I love about myself", it said "Things I believe about myself". So guess what that means. I did think of it myself. Right now I can't really think of that many things I love about myself, but when I do, that will be my next post.
So we live in Grantsville now. Today I had to pull all the way off the road to let a massive tractor pass by. That is what it's like living in the country. Our first night here I walked outside, and some guy across the street started yelling. Like I thought he was going to kill someone. Like Sadie got scared and ran in the house, and so did I. Now I don't like to go out at night. Mostly because we don't have any street lights, so I can't see if someone is sneaking up to kidnap me. There are some weird things that I've noticed about this town. I don't know if they're really appropriate to discuss on a public blog. Like if I get called to the relief society I don't want anybody reading it and getting offended. But if I get called to nursery then I don't care, I'll tell you.
Grace is crawling all over the place now, and she's also standing up a little bit. She'll pull herself up in her crib or on the side of the bathtub. She's so strong. I have to disinfect the floor several times a day. We tried feeding her her first food. The day after we moved here we were all hanging out on our bed, because it was the only clean space in the house, and we decided to mash up a banana and have her try it. I put some on her lips, and she made a weird face, and then she threw up all over. We decided to wait a little while, and then try again. Tonight at dinner we let her suck on some asparagus, and that's as far as we've gotten so far.
This is kind of a random picture, but we found the top of our wedding cake in the freezer when we moved. We were supposed to eat it on our anniversary, but we forgot all about it. We're just not good at things like that.
My mom found these old pants that I wore when I was a baby. I love them on Grace.

When a dog loves a baby
I just ran to the store to get Jeff some Tums, and when I got back there were poopy diapers shredded all over the floor, and we were missing an entire loaf of bread. Is anybody else's dog this awful or is it just mine?
Sorry for the blogging dry spell I've had. I've been packing and getting ready to move, so naturally, I have nothing nice to say. I do have some news since the last time that I posted. Wanna hear it? Does anyone even read this blog? I keep seeing regular people with like 1,000 followers. How does this happen? I need to find out.
Ok so first item of business. My sister and her family moved to Oregon. Ryan got to transfer from where he has been working for the Red Cross here to their Salem, OR location. Apparently he blew all the other applicants out of the water. He's awesome. I'm excited for them. But sad for me. Natalie started Kindergarten, and I wish I could see her walking to school with her little backpack on. I hope Sarah takes some pictures for us. They'll be closer to our Grandma and Grandpa which makes me happy too. They'll love being able to see each other all the time.
We're moving to Grantsville at the end of the week. Where is Grantsville? It's a town right next to Tooele, about a half an hour west of Salt Lake City. We bought a house built by Kessler Hatch aka Jeff's brother. He builds a mean house. And by mean I mean nice. We'll finally have our own yard for Sadie's pooping pleasure, and more space, so that will be nice. Our house has finally gotten to the level of mess where you can't clean, you just have to move. I love organizing and decorating, so I'm actually really really excited.
Grace is moving around so much now. She still isn't crawling forward, but she goes backward, sideways, and in a circle. I just had to buy her a playpen, because in the past few days she has fallen off our bed, bumped her head on lots of walls, and had all her toys taken away by Sadie. She has a rough life. I can already tell how stubborn she's going to be. If she sees something she wants she will stop at nothing to get it. Right now, in her playpen, she has my car keys, a plastic cup, and a paper plate. All things she could not bare to live without.
We've all been sick all weekend, so conference couldn't have come at a better time. I love listening to the talks, and having that feeling of wanting to be better. I'm so happy to be a member of the LDS church. This was one of my favorite talks. Now I'm going to go blow my nose twenty times.
And as always, for your looking pleasure...
